For pre-purchase games, depending on the game you may or may not receive your key immediately at the point of pre-purchase, if there are early purchase bonuses then usually keys will be delivered early to allow customers to take advantage of such bonus content, this can also apply to games with early access, however if there is no immediate bonus then your key or activation link will usually be delivered on the day of release (or a day or two beforehand dependant on the game publisher).

 

Any and all advertised bonus content will be included either as part of your main key or as an additional key, it will differ between publishers, bonus content is not tied to the time of activation.


If pre-load has been announced and advertised keys will be delivered to coincide with the start of this, not all games offer pre-load and some only offer console exclusive pre-load, this information will be provided on the product page where possible.

 

Titles with early access periods will be delivered in time for the start of that early access and will include all advertised pre purchase content.

 

As soon as keys become available, they will be sent out and you'll be notified by email with your key.

Please note: We only provide bonus content as advertised on our own product page, on occasion, retailer pre-order bonuses can differ to what is available on Steam or other platforms.

 

When will I receive my game key?

On release, your key or activation link will be displayed under Your Purchases in your Green Man Gaming account and you will also receive an email when a key or activation link has been applied to your account.

 

Can I receive a refund for a pre-purchase?

You are welcome to a refund on your pre-purchase as long as you meet the following criteria:

  • The game activation key (including any bonus or beta keys) has not yet been disclosed to you by email or webpage.
  • The release of the game, or the pre-load is not within 48 hours of the refund request. We are unable to process refunds 48 hours before a game is due to be released or preload begins.
  • If purchased through PayPal, refunds can not be processed after 180 days from purchase. After this, only a credit refund can be offered in its place.
